jew(ish)

jew(ish) is the first film collaboration between me and my brother Bobby, which we wrote, directed, acted in, and produced through our new production company, Eddy for Eddything LLC. It is currently making the festival circuit, where it is currently a semi-finalist in the 5th annual Stage 32 Short Film Contest, and an official selection of Chelsea Film Festival, Dumbo Film Festival, the IndieFEST Film Awards, and Film Miami Fest! We're simply kvelling!

jew(ish) is a dark comedy about a brother and sister who search for the afikomen during their family Passover Seder, but find instead a sinister secret. It's a story about the integrity of self-identity, and what responsibility we have for our ancestors' misdeeds. We explore this conundrum through the lenses of two Jewish-American teenaged siblings living in today's fraught society, and explore what it really means to be "Jewish." And it's funny!
